Pamukkale

Pamukkale is situated in Turkey. In the Turkish language, Pamukkale means "Cotton Castle". It is popular for carbonate minerals. It is located in the River Menderes valley.  People can see Pamukkale from hills on the opposite of the valley.  Its name mentions to the surface of shimmering snow-white limestone. 17 hot water springs are situated in this area. 
It is a great tourist attraction. It has been a World Heritage Site in 1988.  The hotels in Pamukkale was built in 1960. It has two sister cities:

  • Eger, Hungary
  • Las Vegas, United State
Taking sunglasses, water, flip-flops, and sunscreen is necessary.  It is considered as a must-see place when anyone visits Turkey. There are three entry gates, but the gate that is closest to the village is the best.  It is not allowed to wear shoes on the terraces.
