Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa is known as Burj Dubai because it is a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is counted in the tallest building of the world due to its height of 829.8 m. It has been the tallest structure. Its construction started in 2004 and completed in 2005. It took five years to build it. It was opened in 2010 as a part of new development known as Downtown Dubai. The government decided to construct it to gain International Recognition. The old name of this building was Burj Dubai but later it was named Burj Khalifa. This building broke many records of height as the tallest building in the world. This building was designed by Adrian Smith, Skidmore, and Merrill. It has 57 elevators and 8 escalators. The ruler of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa granted money aid and funding. So its name was changed to Burj Khalifa from Burj Dubai. The Burj Khalifa made little profit. Many awards were given to this building.

Its design is derived from Islamic architecture. It supplies 946000 L water every day through 100 km of pipes. 

Air Conditioning system of this building is so amazing. This building is clear and clean. 

Outside the building, there is a fountain which is 270 m long and shoots water 150 m. It contains music. It is the second-largest choreographed fountain in the world. In 2008, it was named as Dubai Fountain. Burj Khalifa is surrounded by a park that contains flowers and plants. It is surrounded by 27-acre land. There is a water room in the center of the park.
