White Haven Beach (Whitsunday) / Australia

Whitehaven Beach is situated along "Whitsunday" in Australia. It is 7 km long. Helicopters, boats, and seaplane can access this beach. This beach is famous due to its White Silica Sands. It has camping facilities. Staff commander EP Bedwell" discovered this Beach in 1879. The sand of this Beach is used to make glass used in Hubble Space Telescope. "CNN.com"  named this Beach in top Eco-Friendly Beach in the world in July 2010. A cigarette is strictly prohibited in this Beach. Dogs are not allowed in this Beach. This is so clean and charm Beach.










This Beach contains 98% pure Silica. Whitehaven's sand does not retain heat. It is comfortable to walk barefoot on the sand even on a hot day. Electronic equipment like telephones and cameras etc can damage by this sand. This sand is fine useful in polishing jewelry.  














Tourists visit this beach to swim. This is such a calm and peaceful place that eyes feel cool to see this place. Some visitors eat BBQ lunch at this Beach. This was featured in a racing Video game (Forza Horizon). In 2018, Govt announced to invest 3.9 million dollars to construct a new walking track and enhancing the camping area off-Island.
