Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu is situated in  Eastern Cordillera of southern Peru. The first "c" in Picchu is silent. In 1983, it was declared as UNESCO World Heritage site. About 750 people live here. Most animals also live here. The site is divided into an agricultural sector and urban sector, and into an upper town and a lower town. Warehouses are in the lower town. The temples are in the upper town.

It is a great tourist attraction and a large revenue is generated from it. It is 2430m above the sea-level.
Many people come here to visit and travel. It is a beautiful place. Eyes feel cool and relax to see it.
