Madina

Madina is situated in Saudia Arabia. The heart of Madina is "Masjid e Nabvi". Madina is the city of Saudi Arabia. Masjid e Nabvi is the burial place of Holy Prophet Hazrat  Mohammad ( PBUH ). Madina is considered one of the three holiest cities in the world. The Holy Prophet had migrated from Mecca to Madina. Masjid al-Qiblatayn, Masjid e Nabvi, and Quba Mosque are situated in Madina.
The few Surahs of the Holy Quran were revealed on Holy Prophet in Madina and called as "Madni Surahs"





In the Arabic language, Madina simply means the city. Its old name was Yathrib. Yathrib is mentioned in Surah Al-Ahzab of the Holy Qur'an. Madina is also known as Tayyba. 
Now, its full name is Madinatu-l-Munawra which means lighted city. It is the second holiest city of Islam. Mohammad (PBUH) buried here under GREEN TOMB. The Madina is bounded by hills and mountains. The graves of Bibi Fatima, Hazrat Hassan, Hazrat Abu Bakar, and Hazrat Umar bin Al-Khatab are here. Jannat Al-Baqi is also situated here. Hazrat Abu Bakar was the first caliph of Islam and Hazrat Umar was the second caliph of Islam.
The beauty and importance of Madina are Masjid Al-Nabvi. After the migration of Holy Prophet (PBUH) in Madina, he built Masjid Al-Quba and offered prayers in it. It is located in the metropolitan area of Madina. Muslims love to offer 2 rakaat prayers in this Mosque. Masjid Al-Qiblatain also lies here. In this place, where the command was sent to the Holy Prophet to change the direction of prayer. Non-Muslims cannot enter the city of Madina. It is a smaller city than Mecca. Thousands of Muslims come here for Hajj and Umrah. It is also popular in the whole world due to "dates". Many types of Vegetables grow here. Almost 7 million people come here annually due to Hajj and Umrah. Taiba University is a famous university in Madina. Islamic University also lies here. Al-Madina college of technology offers degree programs like electric technology, electronic technology, mechanical technology, and computer technology. There are 724 schools for boys and 773 schools for girls in the Madina region. In 1942, Taibah High School was established in Madina. It is a famous school of this city. At that time, it was the second-largest school in Saudi Arabia.
